BC Hydro Power Pioneers Northern Branch Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, March 12, 2024

Al Beeson, President acknowledged March birthdays and anniversaries, followed by lunch.
Al called the meeting to order at 12:45 asking that someone move acceptance of the minutes of the February 13th meeting (circulated earlier). Rudy Zellman moved acceptance Brian St Germain 2nd AIF/Carried
Maggie Stoner presented the Financial Report as of February 29, 2024 balanced with Interior Savings and Credit Union. General Acct $3832.11 Entertainment Acct $350.15 Total $4182.26 with a cash float of $35.00 Maggie moved acceptance of her report, Bryan Tuson 2nd AIF/Carried
Committee Reports:
Care – Elaine Hauck has nothing to report
Volunteer Hours – Donna Zellman reports 35 members submitted hours so we can expect $700.00
Publicity – Rudy says if anyone has questions about the new web-site to contact him and he hopes to have a newsletter out by the end of March.
Membership – Nancy Thurier reports 2 new members have joined from Terrace
Community Service Awards – Bryan Tuson reports there is work being done to get letters out soon.
Science Fair – Tim Thompson absent – Al reports having attended the Fair at UNBC this past Saturday, he judged and made a presentation to Joshua Chance of Westside Academy who was awarded both a Trophy and a gift of $100.00
Heritage Fair – Dan and Coleen Krys absent – this isn’t happening until May
Caring Hands – Gail Thompson – absent – no report
Small is Mighty – Pat reports talking to Shaun MacDougall yesterday, more information should be available for our April meeting
Old Business: Reminder of the Jamboree Cruise in September of this year
New Business: Al advised us of the Science Fair as above
Leisure Activities – Lunch won by Roxanne Receveur and 50/50 $37.50 won by Brian St Germain
