BC Hydro Power Pioneers Northern Branch Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, March 10th 2026

President, Al Beeson, welcomed the group of 23 members and announced birthdays/anniversaries for the month of March.
Al called the meeting to order at 12:25 and asked that the February 10th meeting minutes be accepted. Tim Thompson made a motion to accept the minutes, Karen Beeson 2nd, AIF/C.
Terry Receveur, Treasurer, presented his report – General Acct $1855.77, Entertainment Acct $995.90 for a Total of $2852.67 *NOTE Cash float has been increased to $50.00 Terry moved his report be accepted, Dave Conway 2nd, AIF/C.
Al asked for a motion to suspend the general meeting to run the Election of Officers. Mike Smith made the motion and Dave Conway 2nd, AIF/C.
Terry Receveur went through the process of taking nominations and appointing officers for the new executive as well as committee members as follows:
President – Dave Conway
Vice President – Wendy Laluk
Treasurer – Terry Receveur
Secretary – Pat Dool
Committees:

Social Activities; President will take the lead and appoint members to assist as required
Volunteer Hours; Donna Zellman
Publicity Manager; Rudy Zellman
Membership Manager; Nancy Thurier will continue until someone steps up to take it over…

Science Fair; Tim Thompson
Heritage Fair; Al Beeson and Tim Thompson
Caring Crafts and Literacy; Gail Thompson
Small is Mighty; Pat Dool
Christmas Lunch Co-ordinator; Rudy Zellman
Program/Events Co-ordinator; ie Guest speakers – this is up to individual members to carry out.
Election Process complete, Al asked for a motion to return to the general meeting, he also reminded us that we have an active branch at the present time, let’s keep it healthy! Dave Conway made a motion to carry on with our regular meeting, 2nd by Donna Zellman, AIF/C.
We elected to forego the Committee Reports for this meeting.

New Business:
- Celebration of Life for Annette Hamilton will be held Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 AM at the ECRA, 1692 10th Ave. PG
- Science Fair will be held Saturday, April 11th at UNBC, Al Beeson will respond to the co-ordinator and if any member wishes to volunteer to judge please contact Al or Tim Thompson. ASAP.
Leisure Activities:
Lunch was won by Keith Monroe and the 50/50 Draw of $28.00 was won by Karen Beeson
Meeting was adjourned at 1pm.
Next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 14th at 11:30 at Nelly’s Pub.
