President’s message:
Well summer is over and fall is officially here. It was a great summer for those of us in the Central Interior. Not too hot, although I did hear that the gardeners wanted more heat, just enough rain to keep the forest fire risk down and lots of clear skies with very little smoke from the forest fires south of us. September was also a nice month too which has made for a nice transition into fall.
With fall comes all of the winter preparation activities, putting away the patio furniture, clearing out the gutters, raking up the leaves, giving your grass the last cut of the year and applying some fall fertilizer. Don’t forget that snow tires now need to be on your vehicles if you plan on travelling on the provincial highways.
It looks like October is going to be a busy month with both civic and provincial elections (don’t forget to get out and vote) and Halloween not to mention our October meeting which will take place on October 13th at the Whitespot restaurant on Victoria street. Please check out the Whitespot menu online ahead of time and let Wendy Laluk know if you will be attending the meeting and what you would like for lunch.
I look for seeing you at the meeting. Until then stay safe and stay warm.
Cheers,
Dave Conway
