The Upper Island Power Pioneers were recently invited to a luncheon hosted by the BC Hydro Nanaimo District Office Planning Committee in the new office building. Imagine our surprise and delight on finding not only a feast of Hawaiian treats such as pulled pork on buns, pineapple burgers, salads, and desserts, enough to satisfy the sweetest tooth, but also our very own office cubicle! Seriously! It says so right there on the name plate: Upper Island Power Pioneers! Heady stuff for sure, and we can’t wait to really make it ours!
Tours of the new office after lunch almost made us wish we were back at work! On second thought ……… maybe not!
