Likely Museum Field Trip – Fun was had by all!  2019 before COVID.

Hello everyone.  The Williams Lake branch held a meeting with 6 members (ensuring COVID guidelines were adhered to) on Friday May 1st at Don and Jan Barnes’ home.  In attendance were:  Don and Jan Barnes, Dan Boyle, Glenn Lambe, Rainer Kempf, and Dolores Vickers.  The purpose of the meeting was to decide where we thought it was best to donate our funds at this time, and how much to give to each.

Subsequently, the decision was to donate the following:

  • School District 27 Heavy Metal Rocks     $150.00
  • Royal Canadian Legion     $100.00
  • Child Development Centre     $200.00
  • Senior’s Activity Centre     $150.00
  • Williams Lake Hospice Society     $200.00
  • Dry Grad Committee     $100.00

For a total of:     $900.00

Cheques for the donations were being issued immediately following the meeting.

We also discussed the “Jean Up” Campaign (formerly “Jean’s Day” fundraiser) for the BC Children’s Hospital.  See the post about this on the Provincial website.  The members receiving funds on behalf of our Branch are listed there.  Please give whatever you can to this worthwhile cause.  Every cent counts!

Take care, be well, and stay safe!!
