Williams Lake – 2025 Christmas Luncheon and Donations

Branch News |
Williams Lake Branch Christmas Dinner was held at Mr. Mike’s Restaurant on December 4, 2025.
In spite of the winter weather and slippery road conditions, we had 20 members attend, and two special guests, our Provincial Power Pioneers President Maureen Lachnit and local BC Hydro Area Manager Keir London.
Following a delicious dinner, Maureen Lachnit gave us an update on the various projects events and fundraisers the Power Pioneers were involved in Provincially throughout 2025.
Our evening was filled with lots of fun and laughter including various ‘brain teaser’ quizzes, a chaotic ‘blind gift exchange’, door prizes and a 50/50 draw, the proceeds of which we donated to BC Children’s Hospital.
Christmas Donations
Our Branch donated to the ‘Dinner Out the Door’ program for seniors. This was organized by volunteers at the Senior’s Centre who prepare a turkey dinner with all the trimmings available to seniors in the area who register, (a $10.00 cost to them); and the senior, or a friend on their behalf simply drives into the Senior’s Centre parking lot, and their dinner is delivered right to their vehicle.
We also donated a number of toques, scarves, mitts/gloves and warm socks to the Cariboo Friendship Centre for people in need.
