Ramble to Blackie Spit Park

Branch News |
The ramble for this month was to Blackie Spit Park. Blackie Spit Park is a stunning City park located in the Crescent Beach neighbourhood of South Surrey. The park is named after the dramatic spit that extends into Mud Bay at the mouth of the Nicomekl River. The photographs below show that, although the group was small, it was a fine day for a ramble. After a fine walk, the group met for a nice warm lunch at Sawbucks Pub close to White Rock on 152nd Street,

Those Power Pioneers (from any branch) who would like to attend future rambles or outings, can get information from our “Events” page on this website and/or from Jim Exelby at 604-507-0230 or at jexelby@shaw.ca.

Smiling faces greeted the warm and bright February sunshine. Many thanks to Carole Ahern for the photography.
