Provincial – May – Small is Mighty Campaign for BC Children's Hospital – links to support your Branch volunteers

Provincial
Small is Mighty

Our Small is Mighty Campaign for BC Children’s Hospital starts next week with some fun events!

The Lower Mainland Small is Mighty campaign kick off events will be on April 30 in the Hydro Dunsmuir lobby and May 1 in the Hydro Edmonds lobby from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You’re invited to hear our Small is Mighty patient family children’s story on our Zoom session. May 2, 12pm – 12:30pm, see Zoom link event in this newsletter.

Cohen and Nash’s parents Angela and Emery want to share their story with you on how they navigated an unexpected journey. Imagine hearing “There’s something wrong with your baby’s heart” with one child, then dealing with birth defects of your next child. Devastating but hear how they were able to see the silver lining to their journey. As well, our BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) representative will speak on how they are helping children across the province, focusing on urgent care and what’s necessary for a successful recovery.

For our members around the province, you can support your local Power Pioneer fundraising campaign through their personal links below.

Why do we fundraise?

Each year, tens of thousands of kids will visit BCCH, many of them suffering from devastating diseases and chronic conditions. As the only children’s hospital in the province, they count on BCCH for specialized care they often can’t receive anywhere else. By coming together, we can help conquer the serious and life-long illnesses that affect our province’s kids. Check out why we continue to support BCCH – and kids like Sailor – in this video. In 2023 our team of BC Hydro employees and Power Pioneers Miracle Makers raised over $61,000!

Visit the Gear Store to get your merch!

We have Small is Mighty merchandise for sale and a new addition – the cutest teddy bears wearing a “Small is Mighty” t-shirt. Purchasing our Gear Store items can make a mighty impact with 10% of all sales going to BCCH. When you donate, you can choose to make a monetary donation to the campaign and/or buy any of the items from our Small Is Mighty Collection at the Power Pioneers Gear Store.

If you would like to join our PP Miracle Makers team or if you have any questions about the Small is Mighty Campaign, please contact Maureen Lachnit for more information.

Thank you for your support!
