It has been a successful golf season , with good weather for much of the Wednesday and Monday golf, and a lot of fun at the annual Osoyoos Desert Classic in June. The Osoyoos summary has been posted on the Golf Club’s Power Pioneers website website.
The last day of our regular season was September 20 and was marked with a Texas Scramble event followed by a delicious dinner at Riverway Golf Course. There were 22 golfers and 26 attendees at the dinner. Julie Prior volunteered to provide a delicious strawberry short cake to commemorate the club’s 50thanniversary, which we passed in 2021 (but were unable to celebrate together)
Trish Shtokalko welcomed everyone, awarded prizes for the Texas Scramble, and acknowledged the efforts of the executive and other volunteers during the season..
Appreciation gifts were presented to Len Chamberlain and Charlotte Wensauer for all the work performed on overseeing Wednesday and Monday golf for all members to enjoy. Special “thank you” to Louise Ouellet for setting up our new website for members to sign up for golf days and view assigned tee times. The club also thanked the people who organized the individual events on Mondays in July and August.
Golf continues throughout the rest of the year, weather permitting. Club members are reminded to use the ppgolfnow website to sign up as usual.
