Ramble to Museum of Surrey

The glorious winter day for the Ramble of Tuesday 10th February outmatched the participation, there being 7 of us for the Ramble and 5 folks for the lunch!
The day started with an invigorating walk in the sunshine around the charming downtown area of Cloverdale, prior to visiting the always ‘mind expanding’ Museum of Surrey. Along with a well-behaved contingent of smartly uniformed children from Surrey’s Crescent Academy, we experienced an interactive display featuring ‘Hockey in Canada’. There was also a display of warship models, meticulously crafted by Yvon Lehoux of Cloverdale. A model of Admiral Nelson’s sailing ship Victory enthralled Ben, an avid sailing ship model maker in his own right.
Afterwards we visited Ricky’s All Day Grill for a combination of good food and company to end what was a most agreeable winter morning!
