2025 Community Service Award – Jasleen Dhaliwal

Aubrey Searle, Ben Dobranowski and Stanley Hortness present Jasleen Dhaliwal with the Community Service Award.

Volunteering holds a great significance in Jasleen Dhaliwal’s life. She is very in loved in two volunteer organizations: KidsPlay Foundation and Youth Helping Together.

As a program Director at Youth Helping Together, Jasleen has organized 150 plus packages to shelters such as SUMS (Surrey Urban Mission Society) Place. Through bottle drives she raised over $5,000 for SUMS Place and $3,000 for the Surrey Food Bank, with a team of 40 students.

Jasleen has been involved in KidsPlay Foundation, by being involved in annual summer camps and year-around programs and events, organizing activities along with educating them in the consequences of drugs and gang lifestyle.

Jasleen has mentored over 30 children throughout the years inspiring them to find their own voice and strength.

Jasleen is deeply grateful for the opportunity ity to volunteer with these organizations and is committed to continuing making contributions within her community.
