Volunteer Hour Donation

For the 2024 calendar year, 42 members of the Northern Branch of the Power Pioneers, submitted their volunteer hours. As a result, we received $20 per person, $840, from the Provincial Power Pioneers, to donate to local charities.

At the October 14, 2025, luncheon meeting, a motion was put forward to supplement the Provincial contribution by $160, for a total of $1000 to be donated to local charities.

In past years we have split the donation evenly between two charities. Last year we donated $500 equally to The Prince George Hospice Society and The Salvation Army Food Bank.

At the October 14, 2025, luncheon meeting, the members were asked what charities we should donate to this year. The following charities were suggested:

• The Prince George Hospice Society
• The Salvation Army Food Bank
• Auxiliary to University Hospital of Northern British Columbia
• St Vincent de Paul
• Prince George Council of Seniors
• The Grocery Angels at the Prince George Council of Seniors
• Prince George Humane Society

If you have any other suggested charities, please let us know.

Before our next luncheon meeting on November 12, 2025, please submit your two choices from the list above. The top two from all the responses will each receive a $500 donation.
