It Was a Great Day For the Irish!

Branch News |
Also for Upper Island Power Pioneers and their guests, Irish or not! But then, isn’t everyone Irish on St. Patrick’s Day? Ask any of the over 50 members who gathered at Miller’s Pub in Nanaimo to celebrate the good Saint’s very own day, and chances are they all claimed to have at least a wee drop o’ the Guinness in them. I suspect more than just a drop by the end of the day! It was a fun day beginning with a dice game Janet came up with that had us singing, dancing, telling really bad jokes and of course showing off our green fashion statements!

Joining all the fun were special guests from North Cariboo Branch Rae Daggitt and Nancy Gagnon, and from Victoria Branch, Shirley and Jack Westaway and Mary Canning.
Lots of draws and lots of prizes for some lucky winners! Do we really have to wait a whole year to do it again?
