2025 BC Hydro Community Service Awards

Ethan Morris 

 

Second up on our 2025 awards went to Ethan Morris from Highroad Academy in Chilliwack.  Another gifted student, Ethan has served over 600 hours to his community in the past three years.  He is also a videographer for church & school communities, serves with the Chilliwack Rotary Climate Fair, Salvation Army Food Bank, referees school volleyball & basketball games, and with 35 students is an ambassador of French for the Future making presentations and initiatives regarding francophone culture.

Angie Fraser

Our third presentation went to Angie Fraser of Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts.  Angie’s main passion is in volunteering to create positive change.  She has been a member of the Key Club for 4 years, raised money for BC Children’s Hospital – the Trevor Project, raised $1400 for the Terry Fox Foundation, and spent 122 hours at a local craft fair raising money for a food bank.

She also volunteers for the Teen Grief Support Training Program at the Abbotsford Hospice & Grief Support Society, and won a bronze medal for her water safety and lifeguarding courses at the Abbotsford Olympians Swim Club and volunteers at the BC Wildlife Federation.  Angie will be attending UFV in the fall in an Environmental Studies program.
