At our welcome back luncheon in October, our Upper Island branch gave our youth
award winner, Malachi Neufeld a cheque for $500, our Voices from Two Rivers book
and his award certificate.

Some of Malachi’s many volunteer achievements:
1) Summer camp counselor/Coastlands camp-responsible for my cabin of youth, water
activities, lessons, games, etc
2) Big Brother/Sister-providing mentorship for a young youth in need that has health
challenges. Planning activities to keep his interest.
3) Cummings Home-providing elderly with company and giving them someone to talk to.

Anyone looking for a Doctor? Malachie is at Vancouver Island University starting his
schooling to become a physician. (Lois has first dibs)
