Upper Island Upcoming events for November and December 2024

The following are some items that we still collect:
|
- new books for literacy - see Brian Jeffrey
- pull tabs (The Nanaimo MOA's Dufferin Medical Clinic-collect them to send kids with special medical needs to summer camp at Zajac Ranch.)
- Volunteer hours -$20.00 received for each entry to go to a charity of our choice see either Jim Gahr and Lois Earle
- collect wool, etc so our crafters can put together lap throws, touques, slippers etc. which are then donated-see Janet Harms
- Country Grocer receipts - gift cards to go to the food bank-see Janet Harms

|
Two crows were in a field when they noticed a figure that looked like a man in the distance.
|
|
"See that over there? What is that?", says the first crow.
|
|
The second crow takes a long look. "That is a scarecrow. Looks authentic, doesn't it"
|
|
"How can you tell it's a scarecrow and not a person?" replies the first crow.
|
"Look at it's hand. No cellphone.", says the second crow.
