Vancouver – Oct 2025 New Westminster tour & lunch

Branch Events | Vancouver
The Behind the Scenes Guided Tour of the New Westminster Museum and Archives

Here’s a different experience for you! Join us on Tuesday, October 14 for a curator-led tour of the New Westminster Museum and Archives at The Anvil Centre (3rd level) in New Westminster. Participants will have access to areas that the general public are not allowed to see. The archives hold the documentary heritage of New Westminster’s evolution from British Columbia’s first capital city to how it stands now. Maximum capacity for the tour is 30 attendees. There is no cost to you as Vancouver Branch will cover the group tour admission, including a small honorarium to the museum.

Following the one-hour tour which begins at 10:30am for approximately one hour, we will adjourn at 11:30am at Piva Restaurant on the main level of  The Anvil Centre (787 Columbia Street) to enjoy their modern Italian lunch menu (at your own cost). Vancouver Branch is pleased to offer diners a $10 subsidy toward your lunch.

Due to the maximum capacity of 30, preference will be given to Vancouver branch members. If you’re a member of another branch and are interested in joining us, please let us know. We’ll include your name on a standby list and invite you to join us if space is available.

If you have any questions or would like to register to join the tour and lunch, please email Elly Tower (email eleanor_tower@hotmail.com ) or phone 604-437-9475. Cutoff date for RSVP: Friday, September 26
