2024 Walk for Alzheimer’s Delta
Come out and cheer on the Pacific team in their purple shirts as they complete the walk.
On Sunday 26th May, the Alzheimer’s Society of BC are holding their local community ‘2024 Walk for Alzheimer’s Delta’ fundraising event at Patterson Park in Ladner and this year are honoring two of our very own Pacific Branch members, John & Linda Strobl. As our Ramble facilitator, I thought registering a Power Pioneers walking team for this event, would be a meaningful way of also honoring and acknowledging the tireless work this wonderful couple has provided with their ‘Literacy Program’ over the years.
Participation in the walk, requires 6-laps around the half-mile walking track, located at the southeast corner of Ladner Trunk Rd & Harvest Drive, Ladner, with registration taking place at 9am and the walk commencing at 9:30am. Our ‘Power Pioneers Pacific Branch’ team are encouraged to wear one of our colourful T-Shirts or any other recognition regalia you might have on hand. Of course, the primary goal of this event, is to raise both awareness and funding of research for what is sadly becoming an ever-increasing disease, that has impacted both our fellow branch members and our families. As members of our branch, you are encouraged to donate whatever you are able to our registered team, using the link below, for which you will receive a tax receipt.
