Winner of Community Service Award 2018

Branch News |
The 100 Mile Branch of Power Pioneers is pleased to announce the winner of this year’s Community Service Award.  The winner is Hayden Aie from Desert Sands Community School in Ashcroft.

Hayden has been a member of the Ashcroft Volunteer Fire Department since October 2016.  As a member, Hayden participated fully during the Elephant Hill Wildfire with the goal of saving as many power poles as possible.

Hayden plays basketball, soccer and hockey and enjoys coaching children in these sports.  The winter finds Hayden refereeing hockey and life guarding in the summer.

Hayden’s references describe him as a community leader possessing a strong sense of responsibility, a tireless work ethic and a genuine heart for serving his community.

Future plans are to complete a degree in Marine Biology before moving to Vancouver for Civic Fire Fighting Training.  We wish Hayden every success in his future endeavors.

Dave & Mike present Hayden Aie with a $500 Community Service Award plus a copy of “Voices from Two Rivers.”
