Christmas Donations 2019

Each year at Christmas the 100 Mile Power Pioneers make some special donations.  This Christmas there were four $100 donations.  The recipients were the Lillooet and District Rescue Society, 100 Mile Turkey Day, South Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre and Lac La Hache Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

The Lillooet and District Rescue Society is a charity whose mission is to “protect those in need while working with other emergency services in a timely manner.”

Bob and Stu Dew made the presentation of $100 to the Lillooet and District Rescue Society

The 100 Mile Turkey Day is a yearly event with the goal of raising money to assist the local food bank.  The Power Pioneer donation of $100 will provide Christmas turkeys for 4 families.

Dave Abbs made a presentation of $100 for Turkey Day to Chris Adams at the local 100 Mile radio station.

The Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre holds a Touch of Christmas Campaign each year.  The goal of this campaign is to “give families in need a supply of gifts and food that will ensure they have a nourishing and happy holiday.”

Dave Abbs presented a chque for $100 to Ella at the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre

The Lac La Hache Fire Department and their auxiliary work throughout the year to be able to provide hampers each year at Christmas.  These hampers consist of food and gifts for those in need within the Lac La Hache community.

Dot Buckoll presented a $100 cheque to Lac La Hache Volunteer Fireman, Don Aaltonen.
