100 Mile Christmas Donations

Branch News |
Many thanks to our members for their votes for the Christmas Charity donations.  The motion was carried unanimously.

  1. TheLac La Hache Fire Department Auxiliary received $150 for their Christmas Hamper Campaign. There were 30 hampers delivered by the Lac La Hache Volunteer Fire Department on December 10th.   Our Power Pioneer donation was presented by Dot to Joyce Aaltonen representing the LLH Fire Department Auxiliary.
  2. The 33rd annual Turkey Day was held in 100 Mile on December 6th. Our $150 donation will buy 6 turkeys! The Food Bank serves about 150 people on Tuesday hamper days and more than 200 people at Christmas. This organization is also currently offering support to Merritt evacuees.
  3. Our $150 donation to the South Cariboo Health Foundation Starry Nights Fundraiser will help to purchase a Lucas 3 Compression System for CPR. What a wonderful purchase that will be for a community such as ours that has the 2nd highest average age in British Columbia.
  4. The Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre has been supporting families for over 30 years. The Power Pioneer Donation of $150 will go to the Touch of Christmas Campaign to provide Christmas Baskets to families who need a little extra help during the holiday season.

The remaining 3 cheques were distributed in Lillooet by Bob and Stu Dew.

  1. Lillooet Community Christmas Hampers $150.
  2. Lillooet Hospital Foundation (Secret Santa) $150
  3. Lillooet United Church Food Bank $150
