What do you get from being a Power Pioneers Member?

If you are a retiree or employee of BC Hydro or its affiliated companies, we invite you and your spouse to become members by filling out the Membership Application Form below.

Your annual membership is only $10 per person, and here’s what it gives you:

Our spring and fall newsletters with news about Power Pioneers events, projects and campaigns; pensions and benefits information; retirements and obituaries; contact numbers and more
Full access to all areas of the website, much of which is not available to non-members (for example, Pensions & Benefits, branch news, retirement parties, contact lists, and much more)
Opportunities to participate in all Power Pioneers events and community projects
Membership in our Lifestyle & Volunteer program – stay active, earn incentives
The chance to donate to the charities of your choice through the annual Hydrecs campaign and know that 100% of your donations will reach the charity, as BC Hydro covers all administrative costs
Invitations to annual Christmas luncheons

Power Pioneer membership is open to retirees and employees of BC Hydro and its associated companies, as well as their spouses.

Membership costs only $10.00 ($20.00 per couple) each calendar year. Payment must be sent by mail before membership can be made official.

Annual dues are payable January 2 and due before February 28 each year. Dues for new members cover the balance of the current year; dues paid after November 1 will cover the following year.

Please indicate whether you are currently employed or a retiree or a spouse. You must be working for, or a retiree of, BC Hydro or one of its subsidiaries or affiliated companies or a spouse of someone who does or did work for BC Hydro or one of its subsidiaries or affiliated companies. The associate category is at the discretion of Branch executives.

You must choose a branch. Most members select the closest branch to their home; you may choose a different one if you wish.
