Holiday e-Card 2011

It’s that time of year! BC Hydro has again developed a digital holiday card for employees to send to business contacts, suppliers, family and friends in support of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This year, BC Hydro will donate up to $15,000 to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of the Power Pioneers’ Miracle Million Campaign, and through the holiday e-card, others will be encouraged to do the same.

This year’s card features the Cheer-O-Meter and some fun, cheer-enhancing activities. Detect your current level of holiday cheer and click on cheer switches to increase your cheer level. Then pass the card along to help raise cheer for B.C. kids.

How to send your BC Hydro holiday e-card
Sending your own personalized card is easy. Simply write an email to a client or a friend as you normally would, and then attach the copy below to the end of your text. This will direct users to the BC Hydro holiday card where they too will have the option to spread holiday cheer.

Each time our holiday card is enjoyed, BC Hydro will help raise the cheer of kids in need by making a donation to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, up to a total of $15,000.

About the Power Pioneers e-card and their Campaign

The Power Pioneers came up with the idea of a holiday e-card. It's just one example of how this group, made up of some 5,000 BC Hydro retirees and spouses, has worked to support B.C.'s communities.

The Power Pioneers' motto is: Supporting our communities and each other. And they're doing it by being active in a variety of social and community events and volunteer activities.

In the spirit of the season, the e-cards are designed with giving in mind.  Each time the card is viewed a donation is made by BC Hydro to the Power Pioneers Miracle Million Campaign.
