Community Projects

BC Hydro Power Pioneer volunteers contribute to their communities through provincial and local branch projects and events and as individuals for their favorite charities.

The Power Pioneers have partnerships with BC Children's Hospital and BC Crime Prevention Association. They have established a Beginning a Lifetime of Community Service Youth Award in 15 Communities throughout BC to recognize students volunteering in their communities.

The BC Hydro Power Pioneers partner with BC Hydro on community outreach projects such as Regional Science Fairs, Preserving Hydro History, Power Smart Students Programs and Winter Festival of Lights celebrations.
