The Roller Coaster Years

BC Hydro's Lorne Hornby teaches Nanaimo school kids about electricity in 1985.  Education and outreach is an important commitment to the community that Hydro works hard to keep.

News reporters scribble furiously as you falter over a vague question posed by an aggressive lawyer.  You wonder what they're writing.  The hot light from a television camera washes over you.  You think your vice-president furrowed his brow at your last answer but you're not sure; you can't look at him.  Your legal counsel looks quizzically at you but you can't talk with him: you're on the witness stand... You know your answers have a direct bearing on the $1.3 billion Hydro needs in the coming year.
